About Me
I’m Tereza Sásková, a Master of Science student in Data Science at the University of Trento and a former professional mountain biker.
What I’m Working On
I’m currently working on two projects that combine my interests in geospatial analysis and data engineering:
🛰️ Geospatial Analysis & Remote Sensing
Exploring urban environment change prediction using Sentinel satellite imagery from GEE — analyzing how cities evolve over time through Earth observation data and spatial modeling.
⚙️ Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
Building automated data pipelines that connect Google Forms and HTML forms with PostgreSQL databases, streamlining participant registration for a ski school’s seasonal courses.
This system is containerized with Docker and hosted on Wedos, with built-in report generation for instructors.
These projects bring together my aim to learn more from GIS technology, scalable data systems, and practical, real-world problem solving.

🤖 Machine learning for environmental and social applications
My path into data science wasn’t a straight line — it began on mountain trails and race circuits.
Before I ever wrote a line of code, I was a professional mountain biker competing at the world level, where I became a Junior Vice-World Champion and multiple-time Czech national champion. Later, I studied marketing, learning how to tell the story behind numbers.
These experiences might seem far apart, but they share the same foundation — real, lived discipline, focus, and the drive… For me, discipline isn’t a catch phrase; it’s something I’ve practiced daily — through years of training, recovery, and constant improvement.
That same mindset now stays with me, when I learn, build, and solve problems in data science. I simply do things with my all 100%.
A career-ending injury eventually pushed me to rethink and starts something new. This is something that shaped me and also the way how I hand work — with willingness to always learn new things and adapt well in changing enviroment.
Today I’m particulary interested in projects where data engineering meets real-world impact — whether that’s monitoring environmental changes from space or building systems that make organizations run more efficiently. While I’m always open to exploring new domains and learning from different areas of data science.
